PC-KAL32 is meant to aid users in creating their own calendars. The application supports printing documents as well as inserting custom pictures.

Inserting user-defined images is highly recommended, as the default program ones are not quite adequate for all ages. Although featuring spicy graphics on some months might seem appropriate, an entire calendar based on obscenities might not appeal to everyone.

Besides adjusting the graphics, users can also edit the essential information of their product. The year, theme, material and origin are all customizable fields. Once completed, each calendar receives a unique ID, which is quite useful when dealing with many such items.

A "Tableview" is present and it lists all available calendars. Sorting commands can be issued here, based on company (“Firma”) and year (“Jahr”), among other options.

These bring to light another side of PC-KAL32: its bilingual interface. A more accurate description would be unfortunately bilingual. There are many buttons that hold descriptions in German, which is not in itself a bad thing, barring the fact that others are in English.

This mix of English and German is repeated all throughout the software. Most error messages are not in English, which is really a great method of bewildering users (at least those that are not fluent in the aforementioned language). Either way, a single language would have sufficed!

Errors are quite common, as the program has some stability issues (it is prone to losing its database). Since most feedback is done in a language other than English, finding a solution is quite hard.

On a positive side, the program seems to have a fair number of options with regards to customizing the interface (five layouts from which to choose from). In conclusion, PC-KAL32 has great potential and future versions will surely capitalize on this opportunity! For the moment, however, it is unstable, erroneously bilingual and dotted with vulgar images.
